Renegade Boot Tips

This great performance boot works very well for endurance riding but some of the early boots had a heel captivator that was too stretchy for performance work in wet conditions. If anyone is having problems with their Renegade boots falling off or riding up your horse's ankles, the manufacturer is offering a free upgrade to a new stiffer heel captivator design that should solve the problem. You have to send your boots away for about 1 week, and then they will come back with a new captivator. If you would like to do this, email me, and I will send you Kirt's mailing address. Other things to consider if you are having problems with the Renegades:
1. Make sure your bottom Velcro strap is pulled tight and EVENLY from both sides.
2. If you are having twisting, I can custom fit the boots with Equithane on the inside that will make a perfect fit for your horse.

I would love to get my hands on a pair of renegade boots - can you provide contact details for Kirk or the details of a distributor?

I too would love to get a pair of the renegade hoof boots even to try on a trial basis. Does anyone know how I can get a pair?

Renegades are sold through some Natural Hoof Care providers. Contact a professional in your area. Because of the limited supply of the boots, they are typically reserved to trimming clients. That way, every month, your trimmer can check in with you and look at the fit of the boot on your horse.

So where does one find a list of trimmers who can fit the boot? there doesn't seem to be much info on the Renegade hoof boot web site...

There currently is not a list. Contact your local trimmers to see if they sell them. Or ask your current trimmer to contact the company. Where do you live? I may know of someone in your area.

I'v e been using Renegades since April, love them. We go in deep sand a lot, and unlike the Boas we had, they don't fall off. Very pleased with this product, got them from my trimmer.

Can anyone tell me if there is a trimmer or supplier of the renegade boot in northern california?

Thank you,

Where do you live exactly? I will sell the boots if I can fit them to your horse - if you bring your horse to Cool, CA I can fit him there. There are folks in the Bay Area that will sell them too - just depends where exactly you live....

I have 3 pairs (2 boots each of size 1, 2 and 3) for sale for $75 per pair. This is less than 1/2 what I paid for them. They are in pretty good shape as they have only been used on a few trail rides.

I am interested in your boots. What condition, what color. The boots do not come in size 3, so perhaps you mean size 0, 1, and 2? How old are they?
